Originally founded in 2012, ROOTS Sustainable Agricultural Technologies emerged as a pioneering force in ag-tech, developing Root Zone Temperature Optimization (RZTO) and Irrigation by Condensation (IBC) technologies. These innovations revolutionized controlled-environment agriculture, enabling precise climate control at the root level and facilitating water-efficient irrigation solutions. ROOTS' patented systems helped farmers worldwide optimize crop yields while reducing energy and water consumption.

Following years of success, ROOTS became a recognized leader in sustainable agriculture, gaining industry acclaim for its ability to address climate-related challenges in farming. In 2024, ClearVue Technologies saw the opportunity to integrate ROOTS’ market-leading technology with its solar glazing and energy-efficient greenhouse solutions.

The Acquisition: A New Chapter for Agricultural Sustainability

In November 2024, ClearVue Technologies, through its newly established subsidiary OptiCrop (Israel) Ltd, successfully acquired ROOTS’ intellectual property, patents, and key assets, ensuring the continued development and commercialization of its pioneering ag-tech solutions. The acquisition marked a strategic move to enhance ClearVue’s integrated greenhouse and agricultural technology offerings.

By merging ROOTS' innovative climate management and irrigation systems with ClearVue’s advanced solar glass technology, OptiCrop now provides a comprehensive suite of sustainable agricultural solutions designed to boost productivity, reduce resource consumption, and advance global food security.
